Why these two go together

Both were multi-camera shoots of live music, and both needed the audio to sound as good as the picture looked. That's hard to do in one take in a real room.

What I did on both

• Planned the shoot with the artists and wrote the audio and video production outlines.

• Hired freelance camera operators.

• Directed the shoot and ran a camera.

• Recorded all of the live audio, then mixed and mastered it to broadcast standards. The goal was to keep the dynamics of the performance while making every part clear and balanced.

• Edited and delivered the final videos.

Cello Fury: Sonic Evolution

A 45-minute performance and teaching film, built from a Cello Fury outreach concert. We filmed it in October 2021 at PYCO School of Music in Wexford, Pennsylvania, with me and two other camera operators.

Pittsburgh Theological Seminary

A video for the seminary's alumni event during the pandemic, shared as part of their online broadcast. Three cameras, run by me and one other operator.
